Job description

Machine Specialties, LLC (MSI) is a leading contract machining and metal finishing company that designs and manufactures sophisticated, cost-effective solutions to meet our clients' most demanding challenges. Our company is located in Whitsett, NC, about 8 miles outside of Greensboro, NC.

We are looking for an experienced Chemical Process Technician to join our team. This is a full-time, hourly position that reports to the Plating Manager. This hands-on position has the responsibility for contributing to our on-time delivery, quality, and customer satisfaction. The primary function is to learn and follow the required processes for quality control that involve plating for aerospace, military, and other complex parts.

Responsibilities:

  • Work with other operators on the line to make certain the tanks are plating to the requirements. This will include processing test panels.
  • Keep appropriate managers informed of any problems that can, or will, impact scheduled runs, quality, cost, or customer relations.
  • Be able to mask parts to prepare to run through the anodize line.
  • Be forward thinking, preparing for each process to run.
  • Recognize and troubleshoot processing problems.
  • Document and apply chemical and physical plating methods and procedures that provide optimum efficiency for the product plating process.
  • Perform process inspection checks, coating thickness verification, and maintain required inspection documentation.
  • Promote and comply with all PPE and safety standards.
  • Comply with the MSI company policies.
