Job description

Our company is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Line Operator for our 2nd shift. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating an automated plating line, ensuring the completion of plating on designated parts, and maintaining the cleanliness and safety of the work area. This role requires close collaboration with the chemical lab to ensure proper chemistry along all plating tanks. The Line Operator will also be responsible for maintaining proper workflow to achieve production goals and providing training to new and current employees as assigned.
Responsibilities
  • Operate the plating line using the computer touch screen and workbook to ensure proper calculations for plating recipes.
  • Maintain proper workflow to meet production goals and ensure correct racking of parts prior to plating.
  • Manage plating solution levels and perform plating room maintenance as required.
  • Work closely with the chemical lab to make chemical adds based on chemical analysis, emptying, cleaning, and making up tanks as per guidelines.
  • Maintain cleanliness and safety of the work area.
  • Complete required documentation and notify management of any issues that require immediate corrective action.
  • Provide training to new and current employees as assigned and make recommendations to supervisor regarding employee performance and progress.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent education and experience.
  • Some related experience and considerable knowledge of the work area.
  • Demonstrated mechanical skill and basic computer and math skills.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills; ability to read and interpret documentation such as safety rules, work process instructions, memos, etc.
  • Willingness to work overtime as needed to meet production goals.
