Job Description
We're seeking a dynamic, strategic and relationship-driven Director of Multi-Platform Sales to lead our revenue growth across digital and emerging platforms and maintain excellence in linear monetization. This leader reports to GM and will manage Sales Managers, Account Executives, and support team. You will guide our sales organization through the rapidly evolving media landscape - bridging data-driven digital and multi-platform solutions, while growing current and new revenue streams using the full Nexstar Digital portfolio and strong local news product. The ideal candidate thrives at the intersection of branded content & integrated partnerships, commerce, data, and technology to drive measurable outcomes for clients and accelerate our evolution into a total-video media company.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Strategy
  • Excel in strategic planning with the ability to develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy that drives new revenue growth across OTT/CTV, Core and Third Party digital and social platforms, and linear television.
  • Lead, mentor and inspire a high-performing team of Revenue Managers, Account Executives, Digital Sales Specialists and Support Staff.
  • Foster a culture of innovation, accountability and collaboration.
  • Leverage Nexstar's enterprise resources, data capabilities, and national sales infrastructure in partnership with corporate leadership to accelerate both Sacramento and multi-market revenue growth.

Revenue & Business Development
  • New Business Development Leader who fosters ideas and solutions that help local businesses grow and creates steps to bring those ideas to market.
  • Channel specialist with knowledge of audio, vodcast, and linear platform sales - scalability and market rates and intelligence.
  • Digital expert who easily integrates data and analytics performance insights into every client solution.
  • Strong relationships with Digital agencies and business owners who can create and drive multi-market and cross platform sales.
  • Lead compelling presentations that showcase the value of KTXL's total video audience across linear, digital, social, audio/vodcast, and CTV platforms.

Digital First Transformation
  • Champion the station's transition to a digital-first mindset, integrating data, analytics and performance insights into every client proposal.
  • Partner with digital vendors and platforms to expand offerings in OTT, social, search and display.
  • Stay ahead of evolving trends in AI-driven ad targeting, first-party data, and privacy-compliant advertising ecosystems.
  • Research, implement and integrate AI systems to automate inventory, pricing, and other required back-end functions.
  • Train and upskill the sales team on digital solutions, new channel introductions, and integrated multi-market campaign strategies.

Operational Excellence
  • Familiar with and can capably use Sales Force or similar CRM for accountability, pipeline management, weekly revenue reviews and forecasting.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies
  • Proven track record of performance management and personnel development.
  • Oversee internal sales enablement including training, GTM materials, case studies, pitch templates, and category-specific strategies.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Communications, Business or related field (MBA a plus).
  • 8-10 years of media sales experience, broadcast TV or audio platform.
  • Minimum 3 years in a digital leadership role.
  • Demonstrated success in driving sales growth in a highly competitive environment.
  • Advanced understanding of digital ad tech (OTT, programmatic, SEO/SEM, social, and third-party products) and cross-platform audience measurement.
  • Skilled use of Sales Force or similar CRM.
  • Skilled use of Business Intelligence Software.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills
  • Exceptional communication and leadership skills with a passion for helping grow local businesses and proven ability to inspire and manage large, diverse teams.
  • New business leader who provides new concepts and ideas quarterly to help the team drive developmental revenue.
  • Proven ability to translate data + insights into compelling client solutions and storytelling

As Director of Multi-Platform Sales, you will help shape the future of one of America's premiere media brands - strategically planning and guiding the evolution of how advertisers connect with audiences, to deliver meaningful results for clients.
Compensation: $225,000+ commensurate with experience and skill level. Position is eligible for bonuses.
