Position Summary...The Manager of Advanced Analytics leads a team to deliver data-driven insights that support strategic business objectives. This role partners with leadership to identify key challenges, develop analytical models, and provide actionable recommendations that drive business value. The position oversees project execution, mentors team members, and collaborates cross-functionally to implement innovative solutions. The ideal candidate demonstrates strong leadership, advanced analytics expertise, and effective stakeholder management to influence decision-making and foster continuous improvement within a dynamic business environment. What you'll do...The Marketplace team is seeking a Manager of Advanced Analytics, Seller Performance who can translate complex data into insights that help leaders and cross-functional partners make informed decisions, measure success, and shape policies that protect marketplace integrity. In this role, you will build a holistic view of seller performance, identify potential risks, and support controls by leveraging analytics tools and platforms such as Python/SQL, and viz solutions like Tableau, or Looker. Key focus areas include developing seller operational risk strategies and designing & measuring seller insights and communication approaches that enable seller growth and performance improvement.
What You'll Do:
  • Lead analytics for Marketplace Seller Operational Risk across the 3P seller lifecycle: onboarding, monitoring, enforcement, and reinstatement.
  • Define measurement, experimentation, forecasting, and performance strategy while managing concurrent initiatives and stakeholder alignment.
  • Own KPI frameworks, executive reporting, anomaly detection, and deep-dive analysis to quantify risk outcomes and business tradeoffs.
  • Build reusable SQL/Python assets, metric layers, and data marts for consistent measurement.
  • Partner with Data Science on predictive risk models, validation, drift monitoring, bias checks, and threshold optimization.
  • Apply experimentation and causal inference to evaluate controls and guide product/policy decisions.
