Job description

About Us
Legora is redefining how legal work gets done. Not built for lawyers, built with them. We work alongside the world's best legal teams, who expect excellence, precision, and speed, and we hold ourselves to the same bar.
Our AI-native workspace lets legal professionals move faster, think more clearly, and operate with sharper precision. By analysing thousands of documents in minutes and powering end-to-end workflows, we cut through complexity, teams can focus on what matters: judgment, strategy, and outcomes.
1,000+ customers across 50+ countries trust us, including Cleary Gottlieb, Goodwin, Linklaters, White & Case, Dentons, and Barclays. We've scaled to $100M+ in ARR, with teams across Europe, North America and APAC, and continue to expand through acquisitions including Qura, Walter AI and Graceview.
We partner with world-class performers: including Aaron Judge and the New York Yankees, Ludvig Åberg (and his caddie), and campaigns featuring Jude Law.
Joining Legora means three things.
  • We lean in: ownership over titles, outcomes over intentions.
  • We fight for excellence: high standards, direct, ego-free feedback.
  • We grow together: as a team and with our customers.

Mission before ego. Everyone contributes. No one coasts.
If you're driven by impact, pace, and raising the bar. This is the place.
The Role
Few companies at this stage have this much to re-design at once: rapid geographic expansion and starting multiple legal entities put demands on our People Tech function to keep the pace.
As People Tech Manager, you'll work on the design, implementation, and scaling of the systems, tools, and data infrastructure that power our people operations as we grow.
Reporting to the People Tech Lead, you'll work hands-on across our HR tech stack while partnering closely with People Enablement, IT, Finance, Legal, and business leaders. Our mission is to ensure our people infrastructure scales with the company, not lagging behind it.
What You'll Do
  • Manage our people technology stack: HRIS, ATS, document management systems, and the cloud-based integrations that connect them.
  • Configure systems for scalability, security, and regulatory compliance, anticipating future requirements before they become blockers.
  • Maintain data accuracy, system reliability, and clear technical documentation, ensuring a single source of truth for our people data.
  • Maintain and evolve integrations that create seamless, reliable data flows between systems.
  • Ensure strong data governance, quality, and integrity across all people systems.
  • Translate complex HR operations and regulatory requirements into scalable, system-driven processes that embed compliance by design while increasing operational velocity.
  • Automate processes such as onboarding, offboarding, provisioning, approval chains, and lifecycle events. Design for self-service and track where things slow down or break.
  • Enable the People team and managers to use systems by designing intuitive, user-centric processes and by designing & conducting training for non-technical users.
  • Deploy and operate AI-enabled tooling to automate high-volume people processes such as ticket triage, document generation, and employee FAQs.
  • Partner with the People function to identify where AI can ease their work, and enable them to adopt the right tools confidently through hands-on guidance, clear guardrails, and ongoing support.
What You Bring
  • You're a systems-oriented builder and a self-starter: when you encounter a manual process, you instinctively think about how it could be automated, standardised, or eliminated. You believe great people systems should be largely invisible, quietly enabling great work without creating friction.
  • You balance technical execution with long term thinking. You're comfortable configuring complex HRIS workflows and maintaining integrations, while planning for what the organisation will need at a significantly larger scale.
  • You have 4+ years managing internal or people technology in high-growth environments, ideally at a company that has experienced rapid expansion.
  • You have deep, hands-on experience with modern HRIS platforms and the broader HR technology ecosystem.
  • You have the technical fluency to configure, maintain, and evolve cloud-based integrations and event-driven workflows.
  • You are strong on stakeholder management and the ability to translate between technical and non-technical audiences.
  • You are comfortable making decisions with incomplete information and iterating quickly.
  • Experience with people analytics and dashboarding/reporting is a plus.
  • Experience with building agents/agentic workflows as part of people processes is a plus.
  • Hands-on experience with configurations in Hibob and Ashby is a plus.

What's In It For You
  • Global collaboration: Partner with teams and clients across Europe, APAC, and North America.
  • Competitive package: Comprehensive salary, benefits, and tools for success.
  • Meaningful work: Your efforts shape how thousands of lawyers use AI daily.
  • In-person environment: Union Square office designed for ambitious builders and company provided lunch daily.
  • Benefits & Perks: We invest in our people with a comprehensive, thoughtfully designed benefits package:
    Medical, Dental & Vision
    • Multiple medical plan options through Aetna and Kaiser Permanente
    • HSA or Healthcare FSA (based on plan selection)
    • Dental plans via MetLife
    • Vision plans via Vision Care

    Family Support
    • Generous parental leave
    • Free access to Maven Clinic
    • Dependent Care FSA
    • Free One Medical membership for employees and dependents

    Additional Perks
    • Pre-tax commuter benefits
    • Life Insurance + STD/LTD
    • 401(K) with generous company match
    • Unlimited PTO
    • Robust voluntary benefits, including identity protection (via Aura), legal coverage via MetLife, pet savings programs, and more
