Job description

About Krea
At Krea, we are building next-generation AI creative tools. We are dedicated to making AI intuitive and controllable for creatives. Our mission is to build tools that empower human creativity, not replace it.
We've raised over $83M, backed by a16z and Bain Capital. We work in-person at our waterfront office in San Francisco.
People Ops at Krea
We're a small team and this is a true 0-1 role. There's no existing people ops function to inherit. You'll set up the systems, build the processes, and own everything that keeps the team running smoothly as we grow.
What you'll do:
  • Own the full employee lifecycle: onboarding, offboarding, and everything in between.
  • Manage payroll and HR operations across our global team using Gusto and Deel.
  • Set up and maintain recruiting operations: ATS configuration, sourcing pipelines, interview coordination, and on-site execution.
  • Continuously improve hiring workflows and tools to improve signal quality, speed, and scalability.
  • Handle benefits administration, visa requests, and policy documentation.
  • Keep employee data accurate and up to date across systems.

Who we're looking for:
1-3 years in people ops, HR, or recruiting operations, ideally at a fast-moving startup. You're organized, proactive, and comfortable owning things end to end without a lot of hand-holding. You like building systems from scratch more than maintaining ones someone else set up.
Strong candidates may have experience with...
  • Gusto, Deel, or similar payroll and HR platforms
  • Setting up or administering an ATS
  • Supporting recruiting operations incl. scheduling, coordination, pipeline management
  • Early-stage or high-growth startup environments

What we offer:
  • Visa support (STEM OPT, OPT, H-1B, O-1, E-3)
  • Close collaboration with a world-class team
  • Real ownership over how we operate and grow
  • Competitive compensation (75th percentile) with meaningful equity
