People Operations Analyst
HRIS & People Operations at TelevisaUnivision is looking for a People Operations Analyst to join our team!
TelevisaUnivision, the leading Spanish-language media and content company in the U.S., is looking for a highly organized, personable, and service-oriented People Operations Analyst to join our team.
The People Operations Analyst plays a key role in supporting the employee lifecycle by leveraging technology, data, and standardized processes to deliver a seamless employee experience. This role is responsible for executing core People Operations activities, maintaining accurate employee data, responding to employee and manager inquiries, and partnering across the HR organization to ensure timely and effective service delivery.
As a member of the People Operations team, you will support activities spanning onboarding, employee data changes, employment documentation, background checks, I-9 compliance, offboarding, reporting, and employee case management. You will also help identify opportunities to simplify processes, improve data quality, increase automation, and expand employee and manager self-service.
The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, comfortable working across multiple systems and priorities, and passionate about delivering an excellent employee experience. You exercise good judgment, maintain a high degree of discretion, and enjoy solving problems in a fast-paced and evolving environment. Bilingual Spanish/English capabilities are preferred.
ABOUT YOU
You are a curious, self-driven, and detail-oriented People Operations professional who enjoys solving problems and helping employees and managers navigate HR processes.
You understand that great People Operations requires both excellent service and operational discipline. You are comfortable managing multiple requests, following established processes, maintaining accurate documentation, and coordinating with HR Business Partners, Centers of Excellence, HRIS, Payroll, and other stakeholders to resolve employee needs.
You look for opportunities to improve how work gets done and are comfortable challenging inefficient processes, recommending improvements, and adopting new technology and automation.
You are collaborative, accountable, and comfortable working in an environment where priorities can shift quickly. Most importantly, you are passionate about People, Culture, operational excellence, and Digital Transformation within the media, entertainment, and technology space.
YOUR DAY-TO-DAY
  • Support and execute People Operations processes throughout the employee lifecycle, including onboarding, employee data changes, compensation and job changes, I-9 verification, employment documentation, and terminations.
  • Process employee transactions and requests accurately and timely within Workday and other applicable HR systems.
  • Manage assigned employee cases and requests from intake through resolution, ensuring employees and stakeholders receive timely updates and appropriate follow-up.
  • Maintain accurate case documentation and employee records to ensure visibility, continuity of service, and compliance with Company policies and record-retention requirements.
  • Process offer letters and employment documentation and ensure new hires complete required onboarding activities.
  • Initiate and monitor background check screenings, escalating discrepancies or issues to the appropriate HR partners when necessary.
  • Support I-9 and employment eligibility verification processes in accordance with established procedures.
  • Respond to routine employee and manager questions regarding HR policies, programs, processes, and systems, including questions related to represented workforces where applicable.
  • Partner with HR Business Partners, Benefits, Compensation, Talent Acquisition, Payroll, HRIS, and other teams to research and resolve employee inquiries.
  • Run recurring and ad hoc reports to support People Operations activities, audits, data validation, and business requests.
  • Perform data validation and quality checks to identify discrepancies and help maintain accurate employee information across HR systems.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline, standardize, and automate People Operations processes and reduce unnecessary manual work.
  • Support employee and manager self-service by educating users on available HR platforms, tools, resources, and processes.
  • Assist with testing, implementation, and adoption of new HR processes, system enhancements, and operational initiatives.
  • Maintain current knowledge of Company policies, procedures, and applicable employment requirements that impact People Operations processes.
  • Escalate complex, sensitive, or non-standard employee matters to the appropriate HR partner while ensuring appropriate documentation and follow-through.
  • Serve as an employee advocate by providing responsive, accurate, and thoughtful support and helping create a frictionless employee experience.
  • Contribute to team projects and continuous improvement initiatives that strengthen People Operations service delivery and operational effectiveness.

YOU HAVE
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and 1-3 years of relevant professional experience; Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred but not required.
  • Previous experience in Human Resources, People Operations, HR Shared Services, HRIS, Payroll, Recruiting Operations, or a related function preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple requests, priorities, and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining accurate employee data and documentation.
  • Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills with a customer-first mindset.
