Payroll Specialist (Mid-Level)

Full-Time Position:ย 
Payroll City is a growing, locally owned payroll services company seeking an experienced Payroll Specialist to join our team. This on-site position is ideal for someone with payroll processing experience who enjoys problem-solving, working with clients, and contributing to a growing company. What You'll Do:ย 
As a Payroll Specialist, you will manage payroll processing for a diverse client base while delivering exceptional customer service. You'll work independently in a collaborative, fast-paced environment where accuracy, organization, and attention to detail are essential.

Responsibilities:ย 
  • Process payroll accurately using proprietary payroll software.
  • Enter, review, and verify payroll information for accuracy.
  • Provide payroll software support and outstanding customer service.
  • Manage payroll tax deposits for multiple states.
  • Prepare Excel spreadsheets for reconciliations and custom reports.
  • Process new hire reporting.
  • Reconcile and file federal, state, and local payroll tax reports.
  • Communicate professionally with clients, coworkers, and federal and state tax agencies.
  • Research and resolve payroll discrepancies and tax-related issues.

Qualifications:ย 
Required:ย 
  • Payroll processing experience, including employee benefits administration.
  • Strong knowledge of federal and state payroll tax regulations and reporting requirements.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Working knowledge of QuickBooks.
  • Experience using multiple payroll software platforms.
