What you'll do

The Payroll Analyst is responsible for proactive collaboration with key internal business partners within the Global Payroll organization and our third party vendors, and requires independent thinking in handling payroll analysis and validations for Japan, Singapore and Australia. 

This position is an individual contributor role reporting to Senior Manager, Global Payroll. 

Responsibility

  • Support the processing of international (Japan, Singapore, Australia) payrolls, ensuring timely and accurate payroll execution

  • Review, validate, and reconcile payroll data to ensure accuracy in payments, reporting, and record-keeping

  • Provide leadership and mentorship to staff members

  • Identify and implement payroll efficiencies and automate strategies

  • Ensure accurate quarter-end and year-end payroll processing, including federal, state, and local tax reconciliations for international payrolls

  • Receive, review, and analyze payroll-related tax notices from federal, state, and local agencies

  • Track, document, and respond to tax notices, ensuring timely resolution in partnership with tax vendors or agencies

  • Provide exceptional customer service by responding to complex payroll and tax-related inquiries from employees, managers, HR Business Partners (HRBPs), HR Operations, and external vendors

  • Draft and maintain clear, detailed Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for payroll processes

  • Support payroll-related projects and initiatives as assigned

  • Provide payroll data and reporting to internal stakeholders as needed

  • Process workers' compensation audit reconciliations

  • Assist with audits as necessary 

Job Designation

Remote: Employee is not required to be in or near an office frequently and works from a designated remote work location for the majority of the time.

What you bring

Basic

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field

  • 5+ years of payroll experience, with at least 2 years supporting international payrolls (specifically Japan, Singapore, and/or Australia)

  • Experience with end-to-end payroll processing, including tax reconciliation and compliance

  • Experience with payroll systems and tools (e.g., ADP, Workday, SAP, or equivalent)

  • Experience reviewing, auditing, and reconciling complex payroll data with high attention to detail

  • Experience managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision

  • Experience with Microsoft Excel and experience with reporting tools 

Preferred

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to engage effectively across HR, Finance, and external stakeholders

  • Global Payroll Management (GPM), Certified Payroll Professional (CPP), or other payroll-related certification

  • Experience leading or mentoring payroll team members

  • Hands-on experience with payroll operations in Japan, Singapore, and Australia, including local compliance and statutory requirements

  • Familiarity with tax agency correspondence and resolution processes for international payrolls

  • Experience supporting payroll-related audits and workers' compensation reconciliations

  • Proven success in driving process improvement initiatives and automation within payroll functions

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a continuous improvement mindset

Wage Transparency

Pay for this position is based on a number of factors including geographic location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.

Based on applicable legislation, the below details pay ranges in the following locations:

California: $98,000.00 - $142,450.00 base salary

Illinois, Colorado, Massachusetts and Minnesota: $93,500.00 - $121,475.00 base salary

Washington, Maryland, New Jersey and New York (including NYC metro area): $93,500.00 - $127,400.00 base salary

Washington DC: $98,000.00 - $127,400.00 base salary

Ohio: $83,500.00 - $108,550.00 base salary 

This role is also eligible for the following:

  • Bonus: Sales personnel are eligible for variable incentive pay dependent on their achievement of pre-established sales goals. Non-Sales roles are eligible for a company bonus plan, which is calculated as a percentage of eligible wages and dependent on company performance.
