Job description

  • Administer payroll processes and maintain payroll operational standards, ensuring accuracy, quality, and customer service excellence.
  • Review and enter employee payroll changes, including exemptions, benefits, deductions, paid time off (PTO), employment status updates, and wage adjustments.
  • Prepare and process payroll by verifying field service time records; calculating and producing payroll checks or electronic transfers; calculating and processing incentive bonuses.
  • Audit payroll records to ensure accuracy and completeness of payroll documentation.
  • Coordinate payroll-related employee changes with Human Resources, including new hires, terminations, and status changes.
  • Reconcile payroll accounts, identify discrepancies, and resolve payroll issues promptly.
  • Audit payroll-related liabilities, including federal and state income taxes, Social Security taxes, direct deposits, 401(k) contributions, Health Savings Account, and wage assignments.
  • Administer wage garnishments by completing required documentation and adjusting payroll records.
  • Process and prepare weekly prevailing wage reports and documentation.
  • Generate payroll reports and provide payroll-related information to management and Human Resources as requested.

Requirements

  • Associate Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field required.
  • Proven experience as a Payroll Coordinator, Payroll Administrator, or similar payroll-focused role.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office to include Word, Excel, and Outlook, Microsoft PowerPoint, and Adobe Acrobat. Knowledge of UKG system is preferred.
  • Strong working knowledge of payroll regulations and labor laws, including FLSA, Davis-Bacon, and other federal and state prevailing wage requirements.
  • Strong mathematical, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to manage confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
  • This position follows a hybrid work schedule, requiring employees to work in the office three days per week and remotely two days per week.

Salary Range: $31-41/hr. DOE.
