Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Support company operations, including but not limited to:
- Understand and navigate the complexities of various patient assistance programs, grants, co-pay programs, and charities that patients may be eligible for.
- Coordinate enrollment process for the OPN patient assistance program with patients, providers, and foundation representatives.
- Manage consistent communication with patients, provider offices, drug manufacturers regarding enrollment and treatment status
- Communicate with insurance and drug companies regarding prior authorizations and benefit information
- Organize and maintain all incoming data pertaining to patient assistance, including but not limited to incoming and outgoing faxes and emails
- Communicate with oncology provider offices to maintain treatment schedules and ensure proper drug ordering
- Prioritize time sensitive information and ensure it is forwarded to appropriate department within and outside of the company
- Engages in research for eligible drug assistance programs
- Provides a supportive financial advocate role for referred patients
- Conducts routine check-ins with referred patients to ensure their care is being managed efficiently
- Onboards and guides patients through OPN's patient support platform
Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:
- Must have over one (1) year of healthcare experience – experience with administrative and clinical aspects of healthcare preferred
- Work-related experience in a health insurance or payor setting is desired
- Work-related experience in a pharmaceutical setting is desired
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent required; degree in a related field preferred

- Must have exceptional customer service skills – this is an external facing position that interfaces with patients, providers, and personnel of pharmaceutical and insurance companies.

- Must be able to talk, listen and speak clearly on telephone
- Ability to manage priorities of a daily fluctuating workflow.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and willingness to work as part of a team
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, Zoom, and related software
- Experience with EMR systems preferred
- Ability to maintain confidentiality while working with patient medical information
- Bilingual fluency in English and another language is highly preferred
