The Flagstaff House stands as Boulder's premier fine dining destination, celebrated for our award-winning wine program, exceptional cuisine, and unparalleled panoramic views of Boulder and the surrounding Rocky Mountains. Located just two miles from Pearl Street, we offer an elevated culinary experience that showcases the finest Colorado has to offer through locally sourced, sustainable ingredients.

We are seeking an accomplished Executive Pastry Chef to join our culinary team under the leadership of Chef Chris Royster, a former Chopped champion and Zagat 30 Under 30 award recipient. This leadership role offers the opportunity to shape our dessert program while working with a team dedicated to playfully creative, locally-sourced cuisine in a fine dining environment.

Experience Requirements:

  • Minimum 3 years professional baking and pastry experience
  • Minimum 1 year in pastry chef or pastry sous chef role
  • Demonstrated expertise in artisanal bread baking
  • Proficiency in plated dessert design and execution
  • Wedding cake creation and special event dessert experience
  • Mastery of fundamental and advanced baking techniques
  • Strong foundation in culinary cooking methods
  • Proven team leadership and management experience
  • Experience with inventory management, ordering, and cost control
