Gecko Hospitality is now searching for an experienced and motivated Executive Chef in the Broomfield area for a new store opening! The ideal Executive Chef is a hands-on, organized leader with strong culinary fundamentals who can drive daily kitchen excellence, develop the team, control food cost and quality, and build scalable systems to support menu innovation and future growth.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead all culinary operations, overseeing execution, quality, prep standards, sanitation, and overall BOH performance
  • Build, train, and develop the culinary team while driving accountability for consistency, speed, cleanliness, and presentation
  • Manage food cost, inventory, ordering, waste control, vendor relationships, and operational efficiency
  • Collaborate with leadership on menu development, seasonal offerings, and creating scalable kitchen systems to support future growth
  • Operate as a hands-on leader in daily production while maintaining a strategic view of kitchen operations


Compensation and Benefits:

Salary: up to $90,000

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3-5 years current experience as an Executive Chef in an upscale casual or full service restaurant
  • Sushi background a plus
  • High volume background - must have Executive Chef experience in establishments doing over $3 million in sales per year
  • Ability to maintain high levels of food quality, consistency, and hygiene
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
  • Hands-on with hiring, training, and developing hourly employees
  • Excellent work ethic and drive to succeed
  • Executive Chef candidates must be proficient with financials (P&L's, inventory, food/labor cost, etc.)
