LocationOverview

As a Pastry Cook, you will hold a crucial position in our Pastry shop. You will work independently, under minimum supervision, and will be preparing delicious baking goods according to our recipes and plating specs which are so important for creating a memorable experience to our guests. You will be responsible for prepping, cooking and baking items, while supporting the Pastry Lead's and Pastry Chef's efforts to improve the general quality of products being prepared.

Responsibilities
  • Complete necessary food and station preparation prior to the opening of the restaurant in order to ensure that guests are served promptly and efficiently.
  • Recognize quality standards in fresh ingredients and products.
  • Deliver pastries that are baked according to the recipe and plating specs.
  • Set up workstations with all needed ingredients and baking equipment.
  • Prepare ingredients to use in cooking baking.
  • Cook food in various utensils or ovens.
  • Ensure attractive presentation and quality of all food and pastries.
  • Keep a sanitized and orderly environment in the kitchen
  • Assist Sous-Chef efforts to improve general quality of the pastries and baking goods being served.
  • Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by your supervisor.
Qualifications
  • High School diploma or equivalent and/or experience in a hotel or a related field preferred.
  • Culinary/Pastry experience required.
  • Flexible and long hours sometimes required.
  • Medium work - Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 20 pounds of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects.
  • Ability to stand during entire shift
  • Have thorough knowledge of menus and the preparation required, according to hotel standards.

Payrate $22/hr
