Job description

Make pastries for the up-scale pastry case, as well as ice and decorate cakes, cupcakes, cookies, etc. on order in an efficient, sanitary, and artistic manner. Perform customer service functions and follow all company policies and procedures. Demonstrate the company's core values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion, and safety.

Desired 

  • Bakery work experience or similar experience in food preparation.

  • Knowledge of applicable laws and regulations related to employment practices, OSHA compliance, food handling, etc.
  • Create pastries for the up-scale case as well as ice cakes as per orders designate.
  • Makes pastries and decorates cakes, cupcakes, cookies, etc. in specified patterns by using a stencil, decorator tubes of icing, sugar molds, decorator lay-ons and Kopy Kake designs. 
  • Prepare bakery items including cakes, tortillas, pastries, cookies by shaping/forming, baking, decorating.
  • Must be able to maintain a minimum unit per hour and produce products of consistent quality, which meet company standards.
  • Make clean, neat, and friendly impression on customers.
  • Answer phones and take customer orders, ensuring orders are completed on time and to the customer's satisfaction.
  • Follow all current rules and duties of the Bakery, Company, and State and Federal laws, as made known.
  • Wash and sanitize equipment in accordance with company and Health Dept. policies and procedures.
  • Must keep work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition.
  • Be prompt, tactful, calm, courteous, and professional in all interactions.
  • Adhere to company policies & procedures, particularly in the areas of dress code, grooming, food safety, sanitation, and maintenance of a work environment free of unlawful harassment or discrimination.
  • Maintain equipment and facilities properly and safely in accordance with company policies and procedures.
  • Assist as needed or assigned on special projects such as periodic inventories, catering, weddings, events, etc.
  • Perform any and all duties as assigned.
