Job Overview

The Processing Operator plays a key role in executing assigned production tasks. This includes setting up, operating, cleaning, and troubleshooting processing systems in accordance with standard operating procedures. These responsibilities directly support the manufacturing of extended shelf life (ESL) and/or aseptic dairy-related products.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate and monitor pasteurization equipment, separators, homogenizers, and other dairy processing machinery to ensure products meet quality standards and production specifications while maintaining optimal flow rates and temperatures.
  • Conduct routine quality control tests including temperature checks, pH measurements, fat content analysis, and bacterial counts to verify product safety and compliance with FDA and state dairy regulations.
  • Perform cleaning and sanitization procedures on processing lines, tanks, and equipment using CIP (Clean-in-Place) systems and manual cleaning protocols to maintain strict hygiene standards and prevent contamination.
  • Monitor and adjust processing parameters such as pressure, temperature, and flow rates based on product specifications, troubleshooting equipment malfunctions and making necessary corrections to maintain continuous production.
  • Document production data, quality test results, and equipment maintenance activities in logbooks and computer systems, ensuring accurate record-keeping for regulatory compliance and traceability requirements.

Min. Qualifications

  • GED or High School is preferred.
  • 1-2 years of manufacturing experience or dairy processing experience is preferred.
