Description
Schedule: Monday - Thursday, 6:00 AM - 6:00 PM, 1-hour lunch
Fridays are OT as needed. $16/hr.
Job Summary: Assist the Pasteurization Department with preparing, processing, and storing product to ensure efficiency, food quality, and safety.
Job Responsibilities:
• Assists Pasteurization Tech/Operator with loading product into machinery.
• Assist with moving and staging product (nuts/seeds) in preparation for processing.
• Assist with moving and packaging finished product.
• Assist Operator with cleaning the machinery prior to and after shift run in compliance with food safety standards.
• Assist plant personnel with cleaning the facility and disposing of waste materials throughout the shift.
• Create labels as needed to maintain efficient production.
Requirements
Requirements:
• Must be able to comply with all safety and cleanliness requirements.
• Ability to climb ladders/steps and work on platforms.
• Frequently lift boxes up to 50lbs.
• Must be able to complete training for palletjack and/or forklift operation as needed.
• Must be trained in food safety and quality.
• Must be punctual and dependable
• All staff MUST report any known food safety issues to supervisor.
• All staff has authority to place on hold any products and/or equipment that do not meet Texas Star Nut and Food Co., Inc food safety standards.
• Any other duties assigned by supervisor.
Salary Description
$16/hr.
