Canfield Buildings, a trusted builder specializing in post-frame construction, is looking for a full- or part-time Project Estimator to join our estimating team in Waukesha, WI. This Project Estimator role is an excellent opportunity for an experienced estimator or a semi-retired contractor/tradesperson seeking a full-time or part-time position. This is an in-office position!

WHAT DOES YOUR DAY ENTAIL?

This Project Estimator position offers flexibility with both full-time (40 hours per week) and part-time (24 hours per week) options, allowing us to accommodate the right candidate's availability while ensuring project needs are met.

As a full- or part-time Project Estimator, you will play a key role in preparing detailed and accurate cost estimates for post-frame construction projects. You will analyze material, labor, and subcontractor costs, ensuring each estimate is comprehensive and precise. You will also maintain up-to-date material costs in Construction Maestro, keeping our pricing competitive. In addition, you will assist the Project Manager during the pre-construction process, ensuring all aspects of the project are accounted for before work begins. Providing detailed material lists for the crew will be another important responsibility, ensuring smooth and efficient operations on-site.


DO YOU HAVE WHAT IT TAKES?

  • Experience in construction estimating, preferably in post-frame buildings
  • Ability to pass a pre-interview math test
  • Proficiency in Excel spreadsheets for cost analysis and estimates
  • Knowledge of Construction Maestro or willingness to learn
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in cost calculations
