Description
Kimberton Whole Foods is seeking a dedicated, part-time Events & Marketing Assistant to become a vital part of our team!
Availability: Requires open availability, including weekdays, evenings, and weekends. Must be willing to travel throughout our KWF communities.
Age Requirement: Must be 18 years or older.
Hourly Pay: $20-$25/hr
Benefits: Part-time team members are eligible for a 15% store discount after 60 days and a 401K with matching 3% after one year and 1000 hours worked.
JOB SUMMARY
This role serves as the public face of KWF in the communities we serve throughout Berks, Bucks, Chester, and Montgomery Counties. The ideal candidate is passionate about our mission, values, products, and commitment to community engagement. They enjoy connecting with people, creating positive experiences, and sharing the story of Kimberton Whole Foods.
In addition to attending events, this role supports event preparation and assists with assembling and organizing materials for outreach efforts, and in-store events, experiences and promotions.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Community Events
  • Engage attendees at community and store events, and other outreach opportunities in meaningful conversations about KWF's products, history, values, programs, and community impact.
  • Answer questions and serve as a knowledgeable resource for customers and community members.
  • Arrive prepared and on time for all events, demonstrating strong organization, time management, and the ability to work independently.
  • Set up and maintain an attractive and welcoming event space, including tents, tables, signage, and displays, while adhering to all event requirements and representing KWF professionally.
  • Take photos at community events?and other outreach activities to help document KWF's community engagement efforts.

Event Prep & Logistics
  • Assist with preparation of materials, supplies, giveaways, and promotional items for upcoming events.
  • Pack, transport, set up, and break down event equipment and displays.
  • Maintain inventory of event supplies and communicate replenishment needs.

Outreach & Sponsorship Support
  • Prepare & deliver materials for community organizations, sponsorships, and events in the form of assembling coupons, giveaway items, promotional materials, and event kits for community partners.

Support for KWF In-House Events & Promotions
  • Assist with the preparation of KWF-hosted events, including staff appreciation events, Garden & Gift Shop events, seasonal celebrations, and other programs.

Requirements
PHYSICAL CAPABILITIES
  • Full Sense Range (vision, hearing, and sense of smell) - The ability to read product labels, distinguish color and smell for quality control as well as the ability to communicate with the public, community partners, and co-workers.
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to drive extended distances and through various conditions.
  • Lifting, gripping, and carrying objects up to 50 to 75 pounds frequently, including tents, tent weights, tables, other products, and equipment.
  • Stooping, Squatting, and Kneeling - Stoop and maneuver to pick up equipment to and from company vehicle and carts.
  • Walking short and moderate distances to transport from miscellaneous areas.
  • Standing and Climbing - Prolonged standing and occasional climbing.
  • Work Environment - Movement based with most of the time being in motion (walking/standing) rather than sedentary (sitting).
  • Climate - Ability to work in various temperature environments, and in all weather conditions, as most events are held outdoors.
  • Equipment Operation - Ability to safely operate department equipment while following all safety requirements.
