Medical Assistant – Ophthalmology (Part-Time)

Location: Madison, IN 47250

Position Overview

The Ophthalmic Medical Assistant plays a vital role in supporting physicians by collecting comprehensive clinical data and performing delegated ophthalmic testing. This position ensures patients receive accurate evaluations and compassionate care while maintaining efficient clinical workflow.


Education amp; Experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary education preferred
  • One to two years of experience in ophthalmology or as a certified ophthalmic assistant preferred
  • Valid ophthalmic assistant certification preferred

Key ResponsibilitiesPatient Interaction amp; Clinical Support

  • Completes additional tasks as assigned to support clinic operations

Physical Requirements amp; Work Setting

This role functions in a professional medical office environment. Duties require:

  • Frequent verbal communication with patients and staff
