Position Summary
As the Production Supervisor - Paint, you will lead and supervise paint line production teams, ensuring efficient execution of production schedules while maintaining optimal inventory levels of supplies and raw materials. You will enforce compliance with safety, quality, and operational procedures while driving continuous improvement and efficiency within the paint operations. This role plays a critical part in maintaining product quality standards, optimizing equipment performance, and supporting cost-effective manufacturing processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and lead hourly production staff across Paint, Paint Load, and Paint Unload operations
  • Execute and manage the production schedule to support downstream assembly operations
  • Maintain proper inventory levels of raw materials and supplies to ensure uninterrupted production
  • Enforce compliance with company policies related to safety, environmental standards, housekeeping, and standard operating procedures
  • Partner with production, quality, and engineering teams to implement best-in-class lean manufacturing practices
  • Identify trends and opportunities to improve efficiency, material flow, and overall plant performance
  • Design and optimize work areas to improve workflow and minimize waste
  • Lead and participate in continuous improvement initiatives, including RPS (Rittal Production System) teams
  • Drive and sustain 5S initiatives within the department
  • Ensure adherence to product quality standards, equipment performance, and cost-effective processes
  • Recommend and support implementation of new equipment and facility improvements
  • Develop team members by setting clear expectations, coaching, and supporting employee growth

Qualifications
Education
  • Bachelor of Science in Process Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field (required)
Experience
  • Minimum of 3 years of manufacturing experience
  • Prior leadership or supervisory experience required
Skills & Competencies
  • Strong analytical mindset with the ability to identify trends and improvement opportunities
  • Solid understanding of Lean Manufacturing methodologies
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
  • Experience with SAP is a plus
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
