Job description

Shea Concrete, New England's Premier Precaster, is currently looking for an experienced Precast Production Specialist at our band new 22,000 sq. foot plant located in Nottingham, NH. Precast concrete plant team members are responsible for performing a variety of tasks and duties in a safe and productive manner to produce precast concrete products in accordance with quality standards.

Responsibility

  • Prepares precast forms for manufacturing concrete products.
  • Prepares molds for stripping by opening or removing forms from hardened concrete.
  • Clean, prepare and set up molds for use as required in production.
  • Fabricate reinforcement cages.
  • Place and secure reinforcement in various precast concrete forms.
  • Layout and secure embeds, knockouts, etc.
  • Place and finish concrete into various precast forms.

Other Duties

  • Housekeeping โ€“ maintain a clean work area. Including cleanliness within breakroom, restroom, and general facility areas.
  • Expected to maintain knowledge of precast plant techniques and procedures.
  • Delegate tasks as deemed necessary.
  • Skilled in using hand tools.
  • Work with mathematical concepts and apply concepts to practical situations.
  • Able to operate bridge crane to strip and pour concrete. Requires successful completion of company training.
  • Able to operate forklift or Bobcat to load and unload production building when necessary. Requires successful completion of company training.

Requirements:

  • Must be at least 18 years of age per federal guidelines.
  • At least 5 years as a Precast Laborer
  • Good communication skills, both verbal and written to staff and our customers
  • Ability to remain focused in busy environment.
  • Experience operating a forklift or bobcat preferred.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • No direct reports

Physical Demands

  • Ability to stand/bend/stretch/reach/kneel/crawl, etc.
  • Must be able to be on your feet for extended periods of time throughout work shift.
  • Ability to lift and carry 50lbs.
  • Must be able to work with heights up to 10 feet.
  • Must wear proper PPE at all times in a production plant environment
