The ACH Operations Team Lead is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the ACH (Automated Clearing House) team. This role ensures the accurate and timely processing of ACH transactions, compliance with regulatory requirements, and the implementation of best practices to enhance operational efficiency. The Team Lead will also mentor and guide team members, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
As an ACH Operations Team Lead, you will:
  • Assist with customer inquiries and issues related to ACH transactions.
  • Ensure accuracy and timeliness of ACH processing.
  • Ensure all ACH activities comply with NACHA rules, federal regulations, and company policies.
  • Provide leadership, training, and support to ACH team members.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement changes to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
  • Address and resolve any issues or discrepancies related to ACH transactions.
  • Prepare and analyze operational reports to monitor performance and identify trends.
  • Identify and mitigate risks associated with ACH processing.
  • Develop and deliver training programs to ensure team members are knowledgeable about ACH processes and compliance requirements.
  • Act as a mentor to team members, providing guidance and support to help them develop their skills and advance their careers.
  • Set clear performance expectations, monitor progress, and conduct regular performance reviews.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive team culture, encouraging collaboration and open communication.
  • Address and resolve conflicts within the team in a constructive and timely manner.
  • Inspire and motivate the team to achieve high levels of performance and meet organizational goals.
  • Uphold Nicolet's philosophy and policies by maintaining appropriate controls to ensure full compliance with applicable laws and regulations, thereby fulfilling legal responsibilities and enhancing the quality of services provided by Nicolet.

Supervisory Responsibilities:
  • Directly supervises the ACH Operations team in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; coaching, mentoring and development planning; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Qualifications:
  • Strong understanding of Nacha rules and federal regulations related to ACH transactions.
  • Minimum 2-3 years of experience in Automated Clearing House (ACH) processing.
  • Minimum 1-2 years of management/supervisory experience.
  • PC, phone system, general office equipment
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Experience with banking software and payment processing systems.
  • Ability to represent the bank in a professional and positive manner.
  • Uphold the bank's philosophy and policies by maintaining appropriate controls to assure full compliance with applicable laws and regulations, thereby fulfilling legal responsibilities and enhancing the quality of the bank.
  • Ability to maintain regular and reliable attendance.
