CJ Beeps Equipment is seeking a Service Operations Lead to help keep the service department organized, responsive, and running efficiently. This is perfect for someone who enjoys agriculture, equipment, and being part of a close-knit shop team.
Position Overview
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys being the operational hub of a busy shop — coordinating technician schedules, parts, work orders, and customer communication while staying closely connected to the day-to-day service operations.
Working closely with technicians, the parts team, customers, and the General Manager, this position plays a key role in ensuring work orders are accurate, jobs stay on schedule, and customers receive dependable service.
Responsibilities
- Service Operations & Workflow
- Coordinate daily workflow, technicians scheduling, and shop activity
- Open, update, and close work orders accurately and on time
- Ensure parts, labor, and services are properly documented for billing and warranty processing
- Monitor work in progress, jobs waiting on parts, and completion timelines
- Track turnaround times and identify efficiency improvements
- Ensure accurate timekeeping and labor reporting
- Customer Experience & Business Development
- Serve as a primary point of contact for service customers
- Communicate updates clearly throughout the repair process
- Resolve customer complaints or disputes in a professional and timely manner
- Build long-term customer relationships
- Partner with marketing to support service growth initiatives
- Shop Coordination & Team Lead
- Coordinate technician workloads and adjust priorities as needed
- Maintain visibility into shop capacity and progress
- Support technician performance and productivity
- Assist with technician scheduling, time-off coordination, and workload planning
- Foster a positive, team-oriented environment
- Partner with the General Manager to support technician performance and productivity
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- 3+ years of experience in agricultural equipment, mechanical service, logistics, or similar environment preferred
- Prior leadership or shop coordination experience strongly preferred
- Strong organizational and computer skills
- Strong communication and problem-solving ability
- Ability to understand technical issues and translate into work orders
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs
- Willingness to work extended hours during peak or seasonal periods
- Availability for rotating Saturdays in coordination with the parts department
Compensation & Schedule
- Competitive salary and dependent on experience
- Schedule:
- Monday–Friday: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
- Rotating Saturdays: 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM
- Fully on-site role
