Service Operations Lead – Ag Equipment

Farley, Iowa | On-Site

CJ Beeps Equipment is Eastern Iowa’s new short line equipment dealer and growing used equipment dealership, providing parts and service to farmers across the Tri-State area. Deeply rooted in the local community, CJ Beeps is committed to dependable equipment, honest service, and long-term customer relationships.

CJ Beeps Equipment is seeking a Service Operations Lead to help keep the service department organized, responsive, and running efficiently. This is perfect for someone who enjoys agriculture, equipment, and being part of a close-knit shop team.

Position Overview

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys being the operational hub of a busy shop — coordinating technician schedules, parts, work orders, and customer communication while staying closely connected to the day-to-day service operations.

Working closely with technicians, the parts team, customers, and the General Manager, this position plays a key role in ensuring work orders are accurate, jobs stay on schedule, and customers receive dependable service.

  • Service Operations & Workflow
  • Coordinate daily workflow, technicians scheduling, and shop activity
  • Open, update, and close work orders accurately and on time
  • Ensure parts, labor, and services are properly documented for billing and warranty processing
  • Monitor work in progress, jobs waiting on parts, and completion timelines
  • Track turnaround times and identify efficiency improvements
  • Ensure accurate timekeeping and labor reporting
  • Customer Experience & Business Development
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for service customers
  • Communicate updates clearly throughout the repair process
  • Resolve customer complaints or disputes in a professional and timely manner
  • Build long-term customer relationships
  • Partner with marketing to support service growth initiatives
  • Shop Coordination & Team Lead
  • Coordinate technician workloads and adjust priorities as needed
  • Maintain visibility into shop capacity and progress
  • Support technician performance and productivity
  • Assist with technician scheduling, time-off coordination, and workload planning
  • Foster a positive, team-oriented environment
  • Partner with the General Manager to support technician performance and productivity

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • 3+ years of experience in agricultural equipment, mechanical service, logistics, or similar environment preferred
  • Prior leadership or shop coordination experience strongly preferred
  • Strong organizational and computer skills
  • Strong communication and problem-solving ability
  • Ability to understand technical issues and translate into work orders
  • Ability to lift 50+ lbs
  • Willingness to work extended hours during peak or seasonal periods
  • Availability for rotating Saturdays in coordination with the parts department

Compensation & Schedule

  • Competitive salary and dependent on experience
  • Schedule:
  • Monday–Friday: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
  • Rotating Saturdays: 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM
  • Fully on-site role

Benefits

  • Health, Dental, & Vision Insurance
  • 401(k)
