Job description

Modern Technology Solutions Incorporated (MTSI), is seeking a highly skilled Operations Manager to lead strategic, administrative, and operational functions across a dynamic and fast-paced enterprise in OSW Research and Engineering, Mission Capabilities, Mission Engineering & Integration Activity (MEIA). The ideal candidate will be a proactive leader with a demonstrated ability to manage cross-functional teams, streamline processes, and implement operational strategies that advance organizational goals. This role requires strong problem-solving abilities, exceptional communication skills, and a commitment to operational excellence.
Work locations are in the Alexandria/DC metropolitan area.
Key responsibilities are to:
  • Lead daily operations and oversee the execution of organizational priorities, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives.
  • Develop, implement, and refine operational policies, procedures, and workflow systems to enhance efficiency and effectiveness across programs.
  • Direct cross-functional coordination between departments to support mission readiness and optimize organizational performance.
  • Manage resource allocation, workforce planning, and operational budgeting in collaboration with senior leadership.
  • Monitor organizational performance metrics, identify gaps, and propose actionable improvements.
  • Provide executive-level reporting, decision briefs, and operational updates to senior leadership.
  • Oversee risk management processes, ensure compliance with applicable regulations and policies, and maintain continuity of operations plans.
  • Lead operational planning efforts and facilitate communication among leadership, staff, and external stakeholders.
  • Guide and mentor teams, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications:
