Location: Corporate-Growth Region
Purpose: The purpose of the Manager of Food & Beverage Analytics is to Perform F&B analysis in accordance with the Operations Performance Management program and ad-hoc analysis as required by departmental leadership.
Essential Functions:
  • In the Data Governance program, assists the Director - Business Analytics and Reporting in their role as the Data Steward for the Food & Beverage store and product hierarchies as they oversee the selection and maintenance of all menu item and store attributes necessary to facilitate the Operations Performance Management program to include assortment (Sales) analysis and cross-functional analysis using article purchase/sales data
  • Leads assigned F&B analytics projects appearing in the Project Pipeline; ensures transparent reporting of project prioritization, expected timeline, ownership, progress towards goals and location of related documents/materials
  • Performs assigned F&B analysis in accordance with the Operations Performance Management program and ad-hoc analysis as required by F&B leadership
  • Regularly assists in the preparation and presentation of results of the Operational Performance Management program, projects assigned to the Business Analytics group and other analysis to senior leadership and internal/external stakeholders

Reporting Relationship: The Manager of F&B Business Analytics reports into the Director of Business Analytics and Reporting
Major Interdependencies: Finance, Systems, Operations, Operations Performance, Concept Development, Supply Chain
Minimum Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills, and Work Environment:
  • The combination of education and professional experience must exceed 5 years:
    • In a technical role: Requires 5 years of business analysis experience.
      • A bachelor's degree in a program related to the functional area can count for 3 of the five-year requirement
      • An MBA or a master's level degree in a program related to the functional area can count for an additional 2 years of the five-year requirement
    • In the industry: Hospitality, F&B and/or Retail experience - 1 year
  • Specialized Training:
    • Training that leads to an in-depth understanding of Business Analysis
    • Training that leads to knowledge of food & beverage shops and their cross-functional performance measures (Sales, Cost, Labor), different types of analysis, and of the tools used for analysis, reporting and project pipeline management
  • Specialized Skillset/Competencies/Traits
    • Requires a demonstrated working knowledge of Business Analytics applications which includes Microsoft Excel, PowerBI, Tableau or other enterprise reporting applications
    • Demonstrated history of anticipating the needs of the business and complex stakeholders
    • Demonstrated experience exhibiting a continuous improvement mindset with the ability to optimize work processes and achieve positive results
    • Business acumen and also has the mindset required to understand the long-term implications of Business Analysis and to advance the organizations goals
  • Location/Travel:
    • Requires regular hybrid attendance at Bethesda office
    • Requires travel to the New Jersey Centers of Excellence
