The C4ISR Systems Division at the Space Dynamics Laboratory (SDL) delivers mission-critical solutions in cyber operations, information architecture, strategic deterrence, and ISR. We specialize in modular open architecture designs that integrate multiple data sources, enable tactical network communication, and deliver outputs to diverse user interfaces.
SDL is also a leader in advanced embedded and hardware-accelerated computing, collaborating with Government partners to develop high-performance, secure digital systems. These efforts include FPGA-based processing, real-time data handling, and hardware/software co-designing to support mission success.


Position Description
We are seeking an Operations and Scheduling Support Specialist to support a large, multi-disciplinary program executing on Hill Air Force Base. The selected candidate will provide critical operational infrastructure for a ~70-person team (48 FTE) working across multiple concurrent subprojects in support of mission-critical objectives.
In this role, the selected candidate will serve as a force multiplier by centralizing integrated schedule management, workflow administration, and coordination activities. You will work closely with program managers, technical leads, and project engineers to improve schedule integrity, enhance workflow visibility, and ensure alignment across program execution efforts. The selected candidate will play a key role in reducing administrative burden on technical staff while improving overall program efficiency and risk identification.

Key Responsibilities
  • Owns and maintains integrated program schedules in Microsoft Project, including dependencies, critical path, baselines, and status updates
  • Coordinates program operational rhythm, including meeting cadence, agenda development, documentation of outcomes, and action item tracking
  • Administers and enhances Atlassian tools (Jira and Confluence), including workflows, boards, dashboards, permissions, and basic automation
  • Maintains and curates Confluence content to ensure program documentation is accurate, organized, and accessible
  • Supports coordination across program managers, technical leads, and engineers to align priorities, deliverables, and schedules across concurrent subprojects
  • Monitors program milestones and deliverables, proactively identifying conflicts, gaps, or emerging risks
  • Prepares and synthesizes program status into clear summaries, dashboards, and presentations for leadership
  • Organizes and maintains program documentation and shared resources in a distributed work environment
  • Identifies and implements process improvements to enhance scheduling practices, coordination efficiency, and workflow management

Required Qualifications
  • 5+ years of relevant experience in operations coordination, program/project support, scheduling, or similar roles
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or additional 5 years of experience in lieu of a degree
  • Experience supporting technical or engineering teams
  • Experience managing multiple concurrent efforts or subprojects
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools, including Microsoft Project, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Experience managing schedules, including task dependencies, critical path, baselines, and status updates
  • Experience with Atlassian tools (Jira and Confluence), including workflows, boards, dashboards, and permissions
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple competing priorities
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and coordinate effectively across teams
  • Must be a U.S. citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience supporting programs at Government or military installations (e.g., Hill AFB or similar environments)
  • Experience supporting large programs (50+ personnel) with multiple workstreams
  • Familiarity with program reporting, performance tracking, or internal metrics
  • Experience working in geographically distributed or remote execution environments
  • Experience implementing workflow improvements or tool enhancements (Jira, Confluence, or similar platforms)
  • Current Secret Security clearance

*Salary Range
  • $ 64,000 - $98,000
    • Salary commensurate on education and relevant experience
