Job description

Role Overview: Chemical Operator (Temp-to-Hire)

Schedule: M-F, 07:30 – 16:00 (40–45 hrs./week, some Saturdays upon request).

Location: Climate-controlled facility in Clearfield, UT 84016

Status: W2 under staffing supplier, 4-month temp-to-Hire; seeking long-term candidates.
Pay rate: $16 - $24 per hour
 


Key Qualifications (experienced candidates)
  • Experience: 2+ years in chemical manufacturing or distribution strongly preferred.

  • Education: HS Diploma/GED required; technical or college education is a plus.

  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) and SAP required.
    Entry-Level Operations

    This role is a great fit for individuals looking to launch a career in chemical manufacturing or industrial operations. Ideal candidates should be:

    Physical Requirements for both:

    • Ability to stand, climb stairs, and lift up to 50 lbs.

    • Comfortable with PPE (Steel-toed boots required; other PPE provided).

    • Capable of working around chemicals, noise, and machinery.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Material Handling: Execute chemical transfers from storage to tanks; load/unload tankers, railcars, totes, and drums.

  • Shipping & Receiving: Perform dock tasks, package non-hazardous chemicals, and prepare customer orders per DOT regulations.

  • Operations: Use SAP to execute production plans and maintain accurate inventory documentation.

  • Safety & Quality: Operate forklifts safely, conduct QC checks, and participate in EHS/Continuous Improvement (5S/Kaizen) programs.
