What you'll do
As the Finance Manager/Operations Controller at Nutreco's Indianapolis plant, you will Own It by acting with accountability and purpose to lead the site's financial and administrative strategy. You will take the initiative to formulate short- and long-term financial plans while guiding departments through the successful implementation of annual business cycles. Collaborating with intent, you will partner with the leadership team to provide critical financial insights, manage risks, and ensure compliance with tax regulations. You will deliver results that matter by optimizing administrative processes and maintaining strict budget control. Your role is central to driving innovative operational improvements that support our mission to sustainably "Feed the Future".
Who we're looking for
Nutreco is seeking an entrepreneurial Finance Manager/Operations Controller for our Indianapolis plant who embodies our Own It values of purpose, care, and accountability. We are looking for a performance-driven leader with a Chartered Accountant or CPA designation and at least five years of finance and administration leadership experience ideally within a global manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will possess a deep analytical mindset and a proven track record of introducing strong financial insights and making actionable operational recommendations. Beyond technical proficiency in ERPs, OneStream, and PowerBI, we are looking for a collaborator and influencer who will act with integrity and curiosity to lead our financial strategy. Ultimately, you should be a dedicated professional who is passionate about our sustainable mission to "Feed the Future" and committed to fostering an inclusive culture where everyone is respected and valued.
You'll also need
  • Manufacturing Financial Leadership: You possess an understanding of production and maintenance management, cost accounting, and the ability to link financial performance to physical plant operations.
  • Professional Accountability & Integrity: We are looking for a performance-driven professional with a CPA or Chartered Accountant designation who acts with purpose and accountability. You should be a "steward" of the site's assets, ensuring 100% compliance with local tax regulations and internal SOX/audit controls while maintaining a caring and ethical approach to team leadership.
  • Strategic Business Partnering: Beyond traditional "number crunching," you must collaborate with intent across the leadership team. This involves acting as a strategic partner to the Plant Manager, using financial analysis to provide management advice, identify risks, and guide departments through annual business planning and long-term strategy formulation.
  • Sustainability & Purpose-Driven Management: In alignment with our "Feeding the Future" mission, we look for a leader who integrates sustainability into financial planning. You will manage CAPEX and OPEX budgets with an eye toward CO2 reduction and energy efficiency, ensuring that our financial health directly supports our global environmental goals.
