Job Description:

Position Summary:

The Operations Analyst supports manufacturing operations by maintaining operational systems, improving functional business processes, and developing practical reporting and digital tools that strengthen daily execution, training visibility, and operational follow-up. This entry-level role supports L2L and related operations systems, assists with dashboards and KPI reporting, documents standard work, and helps convert manual processes into more reliable digital workflows. The position is intended for a developing analyst with strong attention to detail, basic computer skills, and interest in data analytics, manufacturing systems, and continuous improvement. As capability develops, the Operations Analyst will learn to build Power Automate flows, Power Apps, dashboards, and related digital tools that reduce manual work, improve process consistency, and increase operational visibility.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Basic proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • Ability to learn operational systems, reporting tools, and standard work processes
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow documented procedures
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to manage assigned tasks, meet deadlines, and escalate issues when support is needed

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Degree in Data Analytics, Business Analytics, Information Systems, Industrial Technology, or related field
  • Experience in an automotive, manufacturing, warehouse, or production support environment
  • Exposure to Power BI, Power Apps, Power Automate, SharePoint, SQL, or similar reporting and automation tools
  • Interest in Lean Manufacturing, Toyota Production System, 5S, Kaizen, or continuous improvement methods
  • Comfortable learning new software, documenting processes, and asking questions to understand business needs

Position Duties and Responsibilities / % Time Spent

  • Support L2L and related operations systems through user support, system updates, troubleshooting, reporting support, and issue escalation: 30%
  • Support continuous improvement by learning to build Power Automate flows, Power Apps, and other digital tools that reduce manual work and improve functional business processes: 30%
  • Assist with dashboards, reports, scorecards, and KPI tracking to improve operational visibility and leadership follow-up: 25%
  • Document processes, maintain standard work, and support data accuracy checks for operations systems, reports, and digital tools: 15%

Skills and Abilities:

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy when working with data, reports, and documentation
  • Ability to follow standard work, ask clarifying questions, and escalate issues appropriately
  • Basic analytical thinking with interest in learning data tools, reporting, and business process improvement
  • Effective communication skills with the ability to work with production, training, and operations teams
  • Comfortable learning low-code tools, dashboards, and manufacturing support systems
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, hands-on manufacturing environment

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • None

Software:

  • Microsoft Office Suite, with emphasis on Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook
  • Preferred or to be developed: L2L or other MES platforms, SharePoint, Power BI, Power Apps, Power Automate, SQL, and related reporting tools
