Job description

Job Purpose

This position acts as a consultant to top management on financial matters by interpreting financial information and preparing analyses, special studies, and financial models for budgets, forecasts, working capital, inventory, operations projects, etc. It also provides leadership and guidance to plants on all aspects of operational and financial performance.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities (to include but not limited to):

  1. Participate in the continued development of budgeting, financial forecasting and modeling tools
  2. Assist in hands-on operational process reviews and forecasts with detailed direct ops spend tracking and analysis
  3. Develop integrated expense analyses, projections, reports, and presentations including ROI for proposed capital investment projects
  4. Assume the role of WMS/ERP Power User to provide training, support, and expertise to all levels of staff regarding inventory management and reporting within WMS and ERP
  5. Review non-inventory expense purchase order requests in a timely manner and validate accurate GL coding to ensure proper financial classification and approval processing
  6. Own MRO spend tracking and reporting for all plants, including monthly analysis and weekly communication of results, trends, and insights to plant leadership
  7. Participate in multiple aspects of the monthly close process, including detailed review of expense accounts and accruals, account reconciliations, and bridging financial results to budget and forecast
  8. Lead the review of proposed yield loss and damage adjustments, evaluate their reasonableness, and approve adjustments as appropriate
  9. Maintain and update plant operational documents and tools to ensure accuracy, consistency, and alignment with current processes
  10. Organize and lead year-end audit and inventory counts in all Arizona-based locations
  11. Other duties as required and/or assigned


Qualifications include:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university, majoring in business, finance, accounting, or a related field;
  • 3+ yearsโ€™ experience, preferably in a high-volume manufacturing environment
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
  • Financial modeling experience
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
  • SQL and Power BI skills a plus
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally
