Veneer Technologies Inc. seeking a motivated and growth-oriented Administration Manager to join our wood veneer manufacturing company in a hands-on leadership role with significant opportunity for long-term advancement. This position is ideal for a finance professional who wants to grow into a more senior strategic CFO role while helping shape the financial direction, operational efficiency, and long-term success of a manufacturing business.


The Administration Manager will oversee all financial operations, provide strategic insight to ownership and leadership, and develop scalable accounting and reporting systems to support continued growth. This role will evolve into supervising a small accounting team consisting of a Controller and AR/AP personnel.


This is an opportunity to become a key member of leadership within a stable manufacturing environment while building toward broader executive responsibility.



Essential Duties and Responsibilities


ยท Assist with the companyโ€™s financial planning, forecasting, budgeting, and cash flow management

ยท Provide strategic financial recommendations to executive leadership

ยท Develop and monitor KPIs related to manufacturing efficiency, margins, inventory, and profitability

ยท Support long-term growth initiatives, capital investments, and operational expansion

ยท Assist with banking relationships, financing, and capital structure planning

ยท Support monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting processes

ยท Ensure accuracy of general ledger, financial statements, and cost accounting functions

ยท Manage inventory accounting and manufacturing cost analysis

ยท Coordinate year-end audits, tax preparation, and compliance requirements

ยท Learn and understand manufacturing workflows: inventory, shipping, log buying, etc.

ยท Establish and improve internal controls, accounting procedures, and reporting systems

ยท Partner with operations leadership to analyze production costs, labor utilization, waste reduction, and process efficiency

ยท Monitor raw material pricing, inventory valuation, and purchasing trends

ยท Evaluate profitability by product line, customer, and operational segment

ยท Support ERP/accounting system enhancements and reporting automation

ยท Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

ยท Accounting or financial leadership experience highly preferred

ยท Understanding of cost accounting, inventory management, and operational finance

ยท Experience with budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and financial analysis

ยท Ability to work both strategically and hands-on

ยท Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills

ยท Proficient Excel experience preferred
