You will:
  • Design Engaging Learning Experiences: Develop interactive, accessible, and learner-centered online training modules that support Kumon University and broader organizational learning needs.
  • Own E-Learning Projects End-to-End: Partner with subject matter experts and internal stakeholders to identify learning objectives, recommend solutions, design content, develop materials, and support implementation.
  • Support the LMS and Learning Technologies: Assist with the management, maintenance, testing, and troubleshooting of Kumon's Learning Management System and related digital learning tools.
  • Collaborate Across Teams: Serve as a liaison between the Online Learning team, SMEs, training teams, vendors, and other departments to ensure learning solutions meet business and learner needs.
  • Use Data to Improve Learning: Run reports, review learning metrics, and provide data to support decision-making and continuous improvement.

  • E-Learning Development Skills: Hands-on experience developing digital learning content using authoring tools, multimedia tools, LMS platforms, or similar technologies.
  • Project Ownership: Ability to manage projects independently from intake through design, development, implementation, and continuous improvement.
  • Technical Confidence: Comfort learning and using software applications, troubleshooting issues, testing LMS functionality, and supporting technology-based learning solutions.
  • Collaboration Skills: Ability to consult with SMEs and stakeholders, ask thoughtful questions, recommend learning solutions, and communicate clearly throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to organize information clearly and present recommendations effectively.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop interactive and engaging online learning modules in collaboration with the Online Learning Manager.
  • Partner with SMEs from Kumon University, business units, and internal departments to gather information, clarify learning needs, and translate content into effective digital learning solutions.
  • Support teams using the LMS, data-driven decision support tools, videoconferencing, webcasting, and other learning technologies.
  • Assist with LMS administration, including responding to support requests, resolving issues, testing upgrades, and maintaining accurate system functionality.
  • Maintain communication with LMS vendors, software vendors, and consultants to ensure appropriate technical support.
  • Prepare, update, and maintain instructional multimedia materials, electronic documents, user databases, reports, and other digital learning resources.
  • Run system reports on key learning metrics and provide data to management as needed.
  • Identify opportunities to improve online learning materials, processes, learner engagement, and system usability.
  • Stay current with workplace technology, learning innovations, and tools that support high-quality digital learning experiences.

This Role Is Best Suited For Someone Who:

  • Can take a project from concept to completion with limited guidance.
  • Is comfortable working with both content and technology.
  • Knows how to collaborate with SMEs while also making strong instructional recommendations.
  • Can balance multiple projects, deadlines, and stakeholder needs.
