Jamestown Public School District has an opening for an Academic Support Room/Online Learning Technician at Jamestown High School.ย ย 
Bachelor's degree and teaching permit or license preferred.

Position Overview:
This multifaceted role is designed to support student academic success through supervision of the Academic Support Room (ASR) and coordination of online learning. The technician will work directly with students, staff, and families to ensure academic engagement and progress, while also leading programs that broaden students' educational experiences.
Key Responsibilities:
Academic Support Room (ASR) Supervision












  • Supervise small groups of students in the ASR
  • Maintain records of student attendance, activities, and progress
  • Assist students with schoolwork and provide academic guidance
  • Act as a liaison between students and classroom teachers
  • Monitor student progress and communicate regularly with parents
  • Utilize PowerSchool for progress monitoring and documentation

Online Learning Coordination

  • Serve as a learning coach for students enrolled in online courses
  • Monitor coursework progress and communicate with parents, counselors, and teachers
  • Administer assessments and provide one-on-one academic goal setting
  • Deliver instruction in online courses aligned with licensure (if applicable)
  • Support online curriculum administration, including familiarity with software, assisting students, and managing progress

Professional Development & Administrative Tasks

  • Participate in ongoing training and complete any required certifications
  • Take on administrative responsibilities for online learning platforms and student progress monitoring tools
  • Perform other duties as assigned by administration
