As the Editorial Coordinator, you will sit at the intersection of editorial, events, audienceย developmentย and commercial strategy across the US market. This highly visible roleย is responsible forย bringing together content, industryย relationshipsย and live experiences to create meaningful engagement opportunities for our audience,ย partnersย and contributors.ย 

You will work directly with editors, journalists, event producers, commercial leaders and industry stakeholders to shape content opportunities around major industry moments, coordinate high-profile interviews and speakers, and help maximize the impact of The Drum's events and editorial platforms.ย

The Opportunityย 

This is a highly visible, cross-functional role sitting at the intersection of content,ย eventsย and industry engagement.ย 

You will drive coordination across The Drum's editorial and events ecosystem, helping to maximize opportunities around major industry moments, conferences, awards,ย speakersย and brand partnerships. You will work closely with editors, journalists, event producers, commercialย teamsย and industry stakeholders to ensure our content and event strategies are aligned and delivering maximum impact.ย

Key Responsibilitiesย 

Editorial & Industry Content Coordinationย 

  • Own coordination of editorial activity surrounding major industry events, conferences,ย awardsย and key marketing moments.ย 
  • Manage interview schedules, speaker availability and editorial opportunities across content and event initiatives.ย 
  • Support the planning and execution of editorial projects tied to live experiences and industry engagement.ย 
  • Maintain and oversee editorial planning calendars related to events,ย conferencesย and industry activations.ย 
  • Identifyย opportunities to expand editorial coverage, thought leadership and audience engagement around key industry moments.ย 

Events & Editorial Integrationย 

  • Partner closely with editorial and events teams to ensure strong alignment between content strategy and event programming.ย 
  • Coordinate event-related content opportunities across editorial, video, socialย mediaย and audience channels.ย 
  • Develop and manage workflows that maximize content capture before, during and after events.ย 
  • Identifyย and develop opportunities involving speakers, judges, contributors,ย sponsorsย and industry partners.ย 
  • Serve as a key liaison between editorial, events, commercial and marketing teams throughout planning and execution cycles.ย 

Speaker, Contributor & Industry Relationship Managementย 

  • Build andย maintainย relationships with contributors, speakers, judges, agency leaders,ย marketersย and industry influencers.ย 
  • Coordinate outreach,ย schedulingย and communication with high-profile industry stakeholders.ย 
  • Maintain contributor, speaker and industry contact databases and planning resources.ย 
  • Ensure a positive and professional experience for guests and contributors throughout editorial and event engagements.ย 
  • Support ongoing community-building efforts that strengthen The Drum's industry network and reputation.ย 

US Market Development & Industry Engagementย 

  • Support The Drum's continued growth and visibility across the US marketing,ย advertisingย and media landscape.ย 
  • Research industry trends, conferences, networkingย opportunitiesย and emerging sectors relevant to The Drum's audience.ย 
  • Identifyย key industry contacts, thought leaders and partnership opportunities that support editorial and commercialย objectives.ย 
  • Coordinate US-based industry engagement activities and market-facing initiatives.ย 
  • Support event planningย logistics, travelย coordinationย and stakeholder management asย required.ย 

Editorial Operations & Workflow Managementย 

  • Support editorial leadership with forward planning, contentย coordinationย and operational execution.ย 
  • Manage planning trackers, workflowย systemsย and project documentation.ย 
  • Monitor project timelines and proactively follow up on deliverables and action items.ย 
  • Recommend and implement process improvements that enhance efficiency,ย collaborationย and communication.ย 
  • Ensure seamless coordination across teamsย operatingย across multiple locations and time zones.ย

Requirements

Qualifications & Experienceย 

Requiredย 

  • 2-5 years of experience in media, publishing, conferences, events, content marketing, partnerships, communityย engagementย or a related field.ย 
  • Exceptional organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.ย 
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.ย 
  • Experience coordinating stakeholders, contributors,ย speakersย or external partners.ย 
  • Proven ability to build relationships and communicate effectively across multiple teams and seniority levels.ย 
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to operational excellence.ย 
  • Ability to work independently, solve problems proactively and remain calm under pressure.ย 
  • Fluency in written and spoken English.ย 

Preferredย 

  • Experience within media, publishing, events, marketing,ย advertisingย or communications industries.ย 
  • Familiarity with editorial workflows, contentย planningย and event production processes.ย 
  • Experience using CRM, project management,ย schedulingย or editorial management platforms.ย
