LAW FIRM SEEKING FILE CLERK

Parsippany based medical malpractice defense firm seeks File Clerk/Office Assistant

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • In charge of filing all documents in appropriate hard copy files.
  • Filing all documents in appropriate computer files.
  • Opening up new matters both hard copy and computer.
  • Closing files and preparing for off-site storage. TASKS:
  • Create and add material to hard copy files as needed for record keeping
  • Update files on computer to reflect hard copy files.
  • Act as back up to legal assistant and scheduling coordinator.
  • Assist in E-court management of legal documents filed with the court.
  • Answer phones when needed and direct calls.
  • Act as a team player.

SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS:

  • High school diploma/GED required
  • 1 year law firm experience required
  • Highly organized and able to prioritize tasks
  • Proficiency with computers
  • Ability to type 50 wpm
  • Excellent communications skills

WORK SCHEDULE: Flexible, Monday-Friday, 9am -5pm

SALARY: $17.00 per hour
