Job description

Job Summary:
Plaud Inc. is building the world's most trusted AI work companion for professionals to enhance productivity through innovative note-taking solutions. The AI Automation Engineer will be responsible for selecting platforms, building integration layers, and shipping AI agents and automations to streamline operations and improve efficiency.
Responsibilities:
• Pick the platform, set the architecture — choose the orchestration / iPaaS (Tray, Workato, n8n…) and define the integration patterns, data contracts and auth model others build to.
• Build the integration + auth layer — connect the core stack (Okta/Entra, Rippling, NetSuite, Slack, Notion) with automated, identity-driven provisioning.
• Ship AI agents & automations — starting with quick wins, hire-to-retire, and help-desk deflection.
• Turn jobs-to-be-done into production — monitored, reliable automations with runbooks. No solo-maintained black boxes.
• Partner across the company — wire systems to Business Systems' data contracts, across all global offices.
Qualifications:
Required:
• 5+ years building integrations and/or automation in production (APIs, webhooks, SCIM, event-driven), hands-on with an iPaaS (Workato, n8n, Tray, or similar).
• Has shipped AI/LLM agents or automations end-to-end — orchestration, workflow and prompt design — not just prototypes.
• Strong engineering fundamentals and scripting (Python), with production discipline: monitoring, error handling, runbooks.
• Solid grasp of identity/auth (SSO, SCIM, OAuth) and how systems of record (HRIS, ERP, collaboration) connect.
• A builder's bias — would rather ship a rough quick win this week than perfect a plan for next quarter.
Company:
Plaud is building the world's most trusted AI work companion for professionals through AI note-taking solutions. Founded in 2021, the company is headquartered in San Francisco, USA, with a team of 501-1000 employees. The company is currently Late Stage.
