Job Summary
The Noninvasive Cardiology Manager provides direction and clinical leadership in the daily operation of echocardiography, electrocardiograph and Stress testing services. To ensure the delivery of efficient and cost effective quality care for patients by creating a work atmosphere conducive to professional growth, accountability and autonomy.
  • Provide clinical/technical leadership to supervise, direct, problem solve, schedule and assign the work of staff in the echocardiography, electrocardiograph and stress test laboratory.
  • Participate in strategic planning, establish departmental goals, develop new service plans as directed and make recommendations in budget preparations.
  • Ensure the service functions in accordance with Joint Commission, Catholic Medical Center established policies and other appropriate standards of care.
  • Develop, implement and maintain the echo and cardiac technician laboratory's QI program and ICAEL Accreditation program.
  • Interview and recommend selection of candidates for employment. Recommend personnel actions including but not limited to hiring, transferring, suspending, counseling, disciplining, discharging, assigning, rewarding or adjusting grievances involving assigned personnel in consultation with Human Resources Department.
  • Evaluate the clinical competency and performance of cardiac sonographers and cardiac technicians under direct supervision on an ongoing basis in relation to standards of care and practice for echocardiography, electrocardiograph and stress testing services. Prepare and conduct formal/informal performance appraisals and recommends appropriate action/merit increase.
What qualifications you will need:
  • Bachelor's degree required
  • 5+ years experience in a noninvasive cardiology environment preferred
  • Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer license required
  • State of New Hampshire Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy License required
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) required within 30 days
