About the Hospitals:

Springfield: Peace Health Sacred Heart Medical Center at Riverbend is state of the art tertiary care medical center located in Oregon’s picturesque Willamette Valley.

Eugene: Sacred Heart Medical Center, University District provides community-based health services, including 24-hour emergency medical care, rehabilitation, and inpatient medical and behavioral health treatment. The Sacred Heart University District campus recently expanded its rooms, 20 of which are secure. University District is the site for some our most groundbreaking programs, including a medical education collaborative program with Oregon Health & Science University. No ICU.

Eugene-Springfield is the third largest metropolitan area in Oregon. Home of the University Oregon, Eugen boasts cultural amenities typical of much larger cities.

·         Rate: $170 HR

·         Start Date: As soon as credentialed 90-120 days

·         Schedule: Block scheduling preferred for continuity of care.

·         Hours: Days 10hrs, Swings 10hrs, Nights 10hrs / University location Days 12 hrs, Nights 12 hrs

·         Length: 6 months, ongoing

·         Rounding, Admissions or Both?: Both, however dedicated admitters on swing shift and most days.

·         Patients Per Day: 15-17

·         Call Required: Yes/No? No

·         Call Details: N/A

·         Will Provider work solo or with other MD or NP/PA?: solo in group practice

·         Certifications: Board Cert IM Preferred, BLS and ACLS required

·         Other Details: We use a unit-based care model for day teams and cross coverage rotation for evenings. Typically, 15 providers per day, Facility has 386 beds.

·         Riverbend: 9 day shifts, 3 swing, 2 NOCs (10 hr shifts)

·         University District: 2 days, 1 NOC (12 hour shifts – No ICU)

·         Expectations are 173 shifts a year for day and 168 for Nocturnist for 1.0 FTE\

·         Groups work to arrange schedule

·         Hospitalists enjoy flexible scheduling options

·         Hospitalist and Nocturnist positions are available.

·         Options to practice at one or both of the hospitals in neighboring communities

·         Hospitals are only 6 miles apart

·         Coverage model includes 40 prov
