Job description

NPI Quality Engineer

Are you a skilled Quality Engineer looking to take your career to the next level? Join our dynamic growing team in Windsor, CT. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting our New Product Introductions team .

Responsibilities
  • Develop and edit CMM programs using PCDIMS and MCOSMOS for machined components.
  • Interpret engineering drawings, CAD models, specifications and technical documentation to define inspection strategies.
  • Identify and utilize appropriate fixturing, tooling, and setups to ensure repeatable and accurate measurements.
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings/specifications/standards in accordance with customer requirements.
  • Review and verify inspection and testing of products for compliance with drawings and specifications.
  • Perform measurement system analysis (MSA) and gage R&R to validate measurements.
  • Create and maintain quality assurance documentation including control plans, inspection plans, FAI, PPAP per customer requirements.
  • Ensure that projects and process control documentation are compliant with requirements, objectives and/or contracts.
  • Work closely with crossfunctional teams, including engineers, machinists, and quality control personnel
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in accordance with company safety guidelines.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Requirements and skills
  • Previous work experience as a Quality Engineer or similar role. A degree in Engineering or a related field is preferred.
  • 3+ experience in CMM programming required.
  • Strong knowledge of GD&T, blueprint reading, and inspection methodologies.
  • Working knowledge and familiarity with ISO 9001 and AS9100.
  • Proven experience in quality inspection and assurance in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience with statistical analysis tools (e.g., Minitab, SPC) for measurement data interpretation.
  • Ability to perform well in a highpressure, fastpaced environment
  • Team player with a positive attitude and a passion for excellence.
  • Ability to work, drive initiatives and achieve objectives with minimal supervision.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen.
