Job description

JAC Products has an opportunity for a Launch Manager to join our team in Saline, MI. In this role, the Launch Manager will assure the successful “start of production” of new programs and engineering changes by effectively leading plant resources (staff) and effective project management.   
 
Primary Responsibilities:
• Establish, maintain and communicate project plans, timelines, and deliverables, for new projects to ensure timely, cost-effective execution.
• Develop appropriate assignments and responsibilities for employees involved in the program launch, as well as outside resources (vendors).
• Adjust program plans as needed, and escalate issues as necessary.
• Keep Program Management and Plant Management updated regarding progress, issues or corrective actions relating to assigned projects.
• Support the APQP process, and partner with the Quality team to drive PPAP activities.
Requirements and Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or a related discipline
• Two (2) to five (5) years of Manufacturing Engineering experience in an automotive environment
• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing Concepts and Principles highly desirable
• Must be self-directed, customer focused and results driven
• Superior organizational and communication skills
