Salary: $60k-$100k (depending on experience)

The Network Control Technician II supports the Navy by monitoring, operating, and maintaining network control center (NOC) operations across global Live Virtual Constructive (LVC) environments. This role ensures continuous network availability, incident response, and operational performance in a 24/7 environment. 

Essential Functions:

  • Monitor network systems and services using enterprise monitoring tools in a NOC environment. 
  • Respond to network alerts, incidents, and service disruptions. 
  • Perform initial troubleshooting and escalate issues as required. 
  • Document incidents, outages, and resolution activities in tracking systems. 
  • Support network operations including routine maintenance and updates. 
  • Maintain logs and operational records in accordance with program standards. 
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret, Top Secret, or SCI clearance. 

Requirements

Required:

  • 3-5 years of experience in network operations, NOC support, or related field. 
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Networking, or related field (or equivalent experience). 
  • Experience with network monitoring tools and troubleshooting network issues. 
  • Knowledge of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, routing, switching). 
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., Network+, CCNA, Security+). 
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills. 
  • Ability to work in a 24/7 operations environment including shift work. 
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret, Top Secret, or SCI clearance.  

Desired:

  • Experience supporting DoD or Navy NOC operations. 
  • Familiarity with enterprise monitoring tools (e.g., SolarWinds, Splunk, Nagios). 
  • Experience with incident management and ticketing systems. 
  • Active Secret, Top Secret, or SCI clearance preferred. 

Education:

Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Networking, or related field (or equivalent experience).

Security Clearance:

Must be eligible to obtain a Secret, Top Secret, or TS/SCI clearance. Active clearances preferred. Requirements to obtain a clearance include US Citizenship, security investigation, etc.
