Job description

The Opportunity:

The Network Operations Associate works in the office and is responsible for providing networking and facilities support to business and technology partners on a daily basis.  You will work in conjunction with network engineers to engineer, test, document, and deploy networking solutions. Work duties may also include facilities work in support of the Network Operations Team.  You will report to the Team Leader. 

The Day-to-Day:

  • Oversees assigned operational tasks to completion
  • Identifies, creates and develops documentation for group
  • Create, maintain, and optimize detailed process maps and system architecture diagrams using MS Visio and Lucidchart to align cross-functional teams.
  • Supports the growth of the business through various projects
  • Follows group and firm policies and procedures
  • Identifies potential process improvements and recommends solutions
  • Identifies escalations and routes appropriately
  • Responsible for properly handling sensitive and/or confidential documents 
  • Participate in training programs and professional development opportunities to enhance your network engineering skills.

Your Qualifications:

  • 1 + year of experience in Network Operations 
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience required
  • Basic knowledge of Cisco routing and switching technologies.
  • High level of attention to detail
  • A willingness to learn and a strong desire to build a career in network engineering.
  • Ability to adapt to changes in a fast paced, team environment
  • Ability to prioritize workload and manage time across various tasks
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and visual diagramming software (Visio, Lucid Chart, etc.)
  • Familiarity with NMS platforms and data center software
