Redondo Beach law firm is seeking an experienced, detail-oriented full-charge bookkeeper to join our team. As one of two in-house bookkeepers, you will be responsible for recording and maintaining accurate financial records, reconciling bank statements, and preparing financial reports internally and to CPA. This position is full-time in-office.
Responsibilities:
Process accounts receivable and trust deposits, collection calls, data entry.
Month-end journal entries and general ledger management.
Payroll management, payroll tax filing and quarterly/annual tax reporting for approximately 30 California and Colorado employees via Gusto.
Employment verifications.
W-2, W-3 filing.
Health insurance administration.
401k administration.
Worker’s compensation audit reports.
Fiscal Year End financial reports in coordination with outside CPA.
Property tax payments.
Trust funds accounting and distributions.
Assist in firm migration from Brief Accounting to MyCase Legal Software.
Ad hoc projects and tasks.
Required Skills and Experience:
Bookkeeping experience.
Proficiency with Mac, Excel, Word, and Outlook.
Detail oriented.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
MYOB, Gusto and Quicken software helpful, not required.
