We’re growing… again.


Driskell Law is hiring an experienced Family Law Paralegal to join our family law team. Our attorneys and staff are strong, integrated, and operating at a high level, but our caseload continues to expand. We are looking for someone who can step in immediately, take ownership of cases, and keep matters moving without constant oversight.


Family law experience is strongly preferred. This is not a training role.


What You’ll Do

  • Manage a high-volume family law caseload alongside attorneys
  • Draft pleadings, motions, discovery, and correspondence with precision
  • Prepare and respond to discovery, including organizing complex information
  • Track and manage all deadlines to ensure compliance with court requirements
  • Handle e-filing and confirm proper service and processing
  • Maintain organized, accurate case files in our case management system
  • Communicate directly with clients, courts, and opposing counsel
  • Prepare exhibits, hearing materials, and trial notebooks
  • Proactively move cases forward and ensure attorneys are prepared

Responsibilities:

Paralegal – Job Responsibilities

  • Manage a high-volume family law caseload in coordination with assigned attorneys
  • Draft pleadings, motions, discovery, and correspondence with precision and minimal oversight
  • Prepare and respond to discovery, including organizing and analyzing large volumes of information
  • Track all case deadlines and ensure compliance with court rules and procedural requirements
  • File documents with courts (e-filing) and confirm proper processing and service
  • Maintain organized, accurate, and up-to-date case files in the firm’s case management system
  • Communicate directly with clients, opposing counsel, and court staff in a professional and efficient manner
  • Prepare hearing and trial materials, including exhibits, summaries, and case notebooks
  • Assist in case strategy execution by ensuring attorneys have the information and materials needed
  • Monitor incoming case activity and proactively move matters forward
  • Maintain detailed case notes, including key facts, deadlines, and next steps
  • Ensure all work product meets firm standards for accuracy, formatting, and professionalism



Qualifications:

Paralegal – Qualifications

  • Prior paralegal experience required; family law experience strongly preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to independently manage multiple active cases
  • Strong working knowledge of litigation procedures, deadlines, and court rules
  • Experience drafting legal documents with minimal supervision
  • Proficiency in case management systems (e.g., MyCase or similar) and Microsoft Office
  • Exceptional attention to detail and ability to produce consistently accurate work
  • Strong organizational and time management skills in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion
  • Comfortable working directly with clients, including in high-conflict situations
  • Proactive, accountable, and able to take ownership of responsibilities
