Designation: Engineer Hardware 1
Location : Boulder, CO (Onsite)
Type : Contract 
 
About the Role
We are eeking a motivated Engineer Hardware 1 to join the Hardware Department in Boulder, CO. 
This is an excellent opportunity to work in a collaborative engineering environment supporting advanced hardware systems and satellite communication technologies.
 
Key Responsibilities
Build and maintain spare kits for mobile antenna systems
Develop and manage Bill of Materials (BOM) ensuring traceability and configuration control
Perform component compatibility reviews for hardware systems
Work within an Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) lab, following safety protocols and SOPs
Collaborate with Electrical, Mechanical, Quality, and Design Engineers
Support documentation updates, design improvements, and manufacturing process enhancements
Develop and manage BOM, BOE (Bill of Exchange), and SOW (Statement of Work)
 
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor`s degree in Mechanical Engineering 
2 to 6 years of work experience.
Strong experience with wire harness design and BOM management
Ability to create and maintain detailed technical documentation
Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills
 
Familiarity with:
SATCOM ground terminals
RF over Fiber systems
High-power transmitters and antenna systems
Ability to work across multiple engineering teams
U.S. Citizenship required
Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Security Clearance
 
Preferred Qualifications
Experience working in ESD laboratory environments
Knowledge of J-STD-001 standards and space applications electronic hardware
Experience with Preventative Maintenance Inspections (PMIs) and troubleshooting
