Position: Hardware Project Manager (Austin, TX) Job Overview: We are seeking a highly organized and technically driven Hardware Project Manager to support the successful delivery of advanced System-on-Chip (SoC) system interconnect and memory controller solutions

In this role, you will partner with cross-functional engineering teams to manage hardware IP development programs from concept through silicon validation and commercialization for next-generation mobile products. The ideal candidate has experience managing complex hardware development projects, a solid understanding of the SoC development lifecycle, and the ability to drive collaboration across global engineering teams while ensuring projects are delivered on time and within scope. This is a W2 contract position and is not eligible for C2C or W2 referral candidates.

Key Responsibilities: Lead project planning and execution for hardware IP development programs, including design, validation, post-silicon activities, and commercialization. Develop and maintain comprehensive project schedules, resource plans, milestones, and deliverables throughout the product development lifecycle. Coordinate cross-functional teams across multiple geographic regions and time zones, facilitating effective communication and collaboration.

Monitor project progress, identify risks, and proactively develop mitigation strategies to ensure successful program execution. Troubleshoot program challenges by developing alternative schedules, resource allocations, and implementation plans to resolve conflicts. Drive accountability through regular status reporting, executive updates, and project reviews.

Establish and improve development processes that enhance efficiency, documentation, and project execution. Foster collaboration and build consensus among engineering, program management, and business stakeholders. Track key performance metrics and ensure project milestones are achieved according to plan.

Utilize project management tools such as Jira and Confluence to manage tasks, documentation, and program reporting. Support continuous improvement initiatives to optimize hardware development workflows and engineering processes. Qualifications: Required Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.

3+ years of experience in Technical Program Management or Hardware Project Management. Experience managing ASIC, SoC, or Hardware IP development programs. Strong understanding of the hardware engineering lifecycle, including design, verification, silicon validation, and product commercialization.

Experience coordinating cross-functional engineering teams and managing multiple concurrent projects. Proficiency with project management and collaboration tools, including: o Jira o Confluence o Microsoft Excel o Microsoft PowerPoint o Tableau Experience using defect tracking systems such as Jira or Bugzilla. Familiarity with source control systems including Git or Perforce.

Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present project status to technical teams and executive leadership. Preferred Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.

Experience working with semiconductor or mobile hardware product development. Knowledge of operating systems including Linux, Android, and Windows. Experience supporting post-silicon validation and hardware commercialization activities.

Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, highly collaborative engineering environment. Self-motivated with strong leadership, delegation, and team-building abilities. Detail-oriented with exceptional time management and organizational skills.
