We are the View Item and Transaction native team in eBay's Buyer and Community Engineering org. The team owns the native (iOS and Android) experiences for the major buyer journey screens like Item page, Bids and Offers that help hundreds of millions of customers. We also cater to the high enthusiast buyers and help provide capabilities and experiences for our focused categories like Collectibles, Fashion, Parts and Accessories. We are a data driven Agile organization that believes in shipping often, getting immediate user feedback through experimentation to help us make decisions. We constantly push for engineering excellence and the best engineering culture.
We're looking for a motivated and passionate mobile engineering manager to help us build the next generation buyer journeys and focused categories for eBay. Together, we will delight millions of customers.
The Role:
As part of the mobile team for View Item and Transaction team at eBay, you will
  • Be responsible for leading a team of dedicated engineers for both Android and iOS
  • Build collaborative and inclusive teams. Mentor and guide the development of your team members in a tailored empathetic manner suited for each individual
  • Own your teams' deliverables and ship high quality, maintainable software
  • Run team Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, sprint demos, and sprint retrospectives
  • Become an expert on architecture and native mobile release needs and help drive our tech-led re-imagination
  • Work with Engineering and Release teams to build quality deliverables
  • Work cross-functionally to guide products from conception to launch by connecting the technical, user and business worlds
  • Execute a comprehensive roadmap to deliver high quality feature improvements and new products that provide value to our customers
  • Build and foster relationships with internal partners to ensure alignment and influence peers and senior leadership both within the organization and across eBay
  • Drive a culture of quality, customer-centricity, scalability, and reliability
You are:

You Have:
  • 10+ years of experience and 3+ years of leading or managing high performing mobile engineering teams
  • Experience in Agile/Scrum methodologies and working in Agile
  • Experience working on consumer facing products
  • Ability to think and work independently, demonstrate creativity and deliver quick results
  • History of building strong relationships with engineering, business partners, and operational users
  • Comfort sorting through ambiguity in order to drive to practical business impact
  • Work with the larger cross-functional team to define and execute the product strategy, business strategy, operation plan and detailed roadmap
  • Proficiency in basic data analysis - ability to work with analytics partners to determine what tracking is needed, how the results will be reported etc.

Additional Details
The base pay range for this position is expected in the range below:
$156,800 - $255,300
Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including location, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a target bonus and restricted stock units (as applicable) in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as PTO and parental leave). Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
If hired, employees will be in an "at-will position" and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
