We're looking for a Mobile Engineering Manager with 2+ years of experience leading iOS and Android engineers as their direct manager to join our growing mobile engineering organization. This role has a high degree of autonomy and ambiguity: You will be working with junior and senior engineers within your team and throughout engineering, as well as cross functional stakeholders in product, design, and data to take projects from idea to done.

This means collaborating through the discovery process to arrive at a technical solution, working to execute upon that solution, and shipping that solution to millions of users. You'll do this across multiple product feature teams, as well as help support our iOS and Android app platforms and infrastructure. To your team, you'll be their fearless leader and mentor, making sure that they're supported and ready to tackle interesting product-driven challenges and technical problems.

You'll help drive sprint ceremonies, guide technical decisions, and be instrumental in empowering your team to reach their personal career goals. Hiring and retaining top talent is a key aspect of this role. You'll help determine who to hire to ensure your team's success, as well as how to reward top performers and coach individuals to do their best work.

Your sphere of influence doesn't end there. Passionate and opinionated about things like new and emerging technologies, organizational theory, process, and execution? You'll be able to help define the what and the how around mobile engineering for our organization.

In short, you'll be a leader and a force multiplier, and with that, you'll shape how millions of people shop for their next car on iOS and Android. Our stack : Swift, SwiftUI, Kotlin, Jetpack Compose, GraphQL, Elixir, CircleCI, GitHub You bring : 7+ years of software engineering experience 2+ years of experience leading iOS and Android engineers as their direct manager Experience as a people manager in a 100% remote environment, including hiring, onboarding, mentoring, coaching, and growing engineering talent A track record of collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders outside of engineering and managing an entire team of remote engineers to deliver projects on time Excitement when given broad agency and responsibility to lead a team to deliver business value on our iOS and Android apps #LI-REMOTE #LI-LB In the spirit of pay transparency, we are excited to share the base salary range for this position which is not inclusive of bonuses, benefits or other forms of compensation that the position may be eligible for.
