Job description

Mobile Device Engineer – MDM, VPN, Identity & Secure App Access (Not Support)
📍 Location: Hybrid at Nashville, TN 37246 | 💼 Full-Time
Overview
INSPYR is seeking a Mobile Device Engineer focused on enterprise mobility and secure access, not just device support. We need someone who understands how mobile devices connect to internal apps, including VPN, network flow, and authentication—not just configuring MDM tools.
What You’ll Do
  • Engineer and support MDM/EMM solutions (iOS, Android)
  • Design and troubleshoot mobile access to internal apps
  • Work with:
    • VPN (per-app, split tunnel, full tunnel)
    • Identity & SSO (SAML, OAuth, certificates)
    • Network routing and access flows
  • Enable secure mobile app access across device + network + identity layers
  • Partner with network, security, and app teams

What We’re Looking For
  • 3–6+ years in MDM / endpoint / mobility engineering
  • Strong understanding of:
    • MDM fundamentals
    • VPN & mobile connectivity
    • Identity/authentication (SSO, certs)
    • Network basics (DNS, routing, firewalls)
  • Ability to explain:
“How does a mobile device securely access an internal app?”

Engineers who understand why things work
Not a support-only / ticket-based role
Tech (Tool-Agnostic)
  • Any MDM: Intune, Jamf, ManageEngine (nice-to-have, not required)

Quick Sell
  • Engineering-focused (not support-heavy)
  • Cross-domain exposure: mobile + network + identity
  • Real architecture & problem-solving work
